A scalloped wooden frame gives the wreath just the right style touch, while plastic skulls add an appropriate amount of creepy classiness. Whether you are a beginner crafter or a seasoned pro, this Halloween wreath is a fun and simple project. No matter your skill level, you can make a fa-boo-lous skull wreath that you’ll be proud to display on your door. ALSO CREATE: Easy Halloween picture frame for crafty family fun You can find all of the supplies for this wreath during a quick trip to the craft store. You’ll need a scalloped wooden frame to use as a wreath base, a laser-cut felt skull decoration, tulle ribbon, plastic skulls, black spray paint, and a hot-glue gun and hot-glue sticks. Substitute supplies: If you can’t find a scalloped frame to use as a wreath base, a regular wreath form will do. Wrap the wreath form with black ribbon before you begin. If you can’t find a laser-cut felt skull decoration, you can substitute black lace, fake spiderwebs or “creepy cloth,” or a mirror.

Paint the frame
Before you begin putting your wreath together, paint the scalloped wooden frame. Layout a canvas drop cloth or newspapers on which to lay the frame before you paint. Spray the frame with black spray paint using long, smooth strokes about 10–12 inches from the frame. Note: You can also paint the frame using craft acrylic paint and a paintbrush. After it’s painted, let the frame dry. Add a second coat of paint, if needed. Paint the plastic skulls at this time, if desired.
Add the tulle ribbon
Cut pieces from the tulle ribbon. You will need 8–10 pieces in each color, and they should measure approximately 12 inches each. Tie the tulle around the frame Tie the pieces of tulle ribbon around the frame. After the frame is covered with the tulle, trim the excess so the tulle is even all the way around.
Add the felt skull mat
Flip the frame over and hot glue the skull mat to the back of the frame so the good side is looking out through the front of the wreath.
Glue the skulls onto the wreath
Turn the wreath to face up, and hot glue the skulls around the frame in a balanced manner. We put two large skulls at the top and bottom of the wreath, two full skeletons along the left and right side, and then filled in around the wreath using smaller silver-painted skulls.
